Dorothy “Dot” M. Corley, 76, of South Imler Valley Road, Imler, went to her heavenly home on April 20, 2013, after a short illness, She was born on June 7, 1936 in  Clay Twp., a daughter of the late Paul and Mable (Fix) Parks. On June 27, 1955 in Bedford she married Harry “Jake” Corley Sr. and he preceded her in death on October 28, 2005.  She is survived by three children:  a daughter Karen Weyant and life partner Laurie of Boalsburg, a daughter, Debbie Anderson and husband Rob of Clarksville TN, a son Harry Corley Jr. and wife Pam of Bedford, seven grandchildren: Rikki Anderson, Marianne Spencer, Mike Weyant, Crystal Heuston, Joe Corley, Heather Corley and Justin Cober-Lake; and 21 great-grandchildren whom she adored. She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter Brianna Spencer.

She was a graduate of Bedford High School class of 1955, and throughout her life she worked in several restaurants as hostess and cashier. She was an active member of the Imler Area Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary where she could always be found helping in the kitchen. Dot was a true friend who would always lend a hand or drive someone where they needed to go. She enjoyed traveling -- especially to sit by the ocean -- feeding and watching hummingbirds, reading, and crafts. She was always ready to have a picnic and was extremely family-oriented and would do anything for her family.  She was a member of the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Imler, and most important, she accepted Christ as her savior and her faith was forever strong. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, with Pastor James Neatrour officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received on Monday from 3- 5 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
