Doris J. Swindell

Doris JoAnn Swindell, 83, of, Everett, formerly of Bedford, died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 8, 1929, in New Enterprise, the daughter of the late Andrew F. and Arvilla (Snyder) Henry. On July 14, 1956, in Johnstown, she married Robert J. Swindell who survives along with three daughters:  Susan Burkhart of Painesville, OH, Lisa Frisch and husband Steven of Truckee, CA, Mary Beth Olivier and husband  Bryan of Durham, NH, one son, Kent married to the former Betsy Growden of Centerville,  9 grandchildren:  Alison Reardon , Andrea Burkhart, Jared Growden, Jonathan, Kyle, an Seth Swindell, Christopher, Laura, and Emily Olivier, two great grandchildren:  Madison Foreman and Christian Growden, two brothers, Jack Henry and wife Carol of Spring Hope, and Landon Henry and wife Peggy of Bedford.

Doris was a very active member at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Bedford and retired in 1989 after 28 years as an Elementary School Teacher with the Everett School District. She was a member of the PSEA, NEA and Gideons.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev.
