Doris E. Pensyl

Doris E. Pensyl, 71 of Lower Snake Spring Road, Everett, PA, died Monday, August 1, 2011 at Hershey Medical Center.  She was born August 27, 1939 in Friends Cove, daughter of the late Carl C. and Margaret (Ott) James.  On May 24, 1993 in Winchester, she married Mark C. Pensyl and he survives along with three daughters; Vicki Wife of Gregory Imgrund of Bedford, Kimberly Lashley of Breezewood, Susan Wife of Richard Deputy of Bedford, two step children; Cheri wife of Richard McCollister of Maineville, Ohio and Eric Smith of Syracuse, IN.  Also surviving are seven grandchildren; Michael Imgrund, Jennifer Akers, James Lashley, Mindi Glass, Josh and Matthew Deputy, Ryan Karns, seven great grandchildren and the three brothers; Donald James and wife Nancy of Mann Choice, Harold James and wife Sue, Jacksonville, FL, Dale James of Breezewood and a sister Kathleen Walker of Littlestown.  She was preceded in death by a sister Hazel Roberta “Bobbi” Faust and a nephew Steven Rosage.

Mrs. Pensyl was affiliated with the Pennwood Bible Church.  She was retired from Hedstrom after 24 years, and prior to that had worked at the Bedford Springs and Standard Register.

Funeral Services: Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pennwood Bible Church with Pastors Floyd Rinehart and Dana Umble officiating. Burial at Woods Church Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, and ½ hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday morning.  Those wishing may make contributions to the American Cancer Society, 1004 N.
