Doris V. Derryberry

Doris V. Derryberry, 85, of Blanche Street, Bedford, went to be the lord on Wednesday, January 10, 2007. She was born on September 14, 1921 in Deer Run, WV.  A daughter of the late Roy H. and Mabel Dickenson.  In November 1969 she married James T. Derryberry and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Roy H. Dickenson Jr.  Surviving is one adopted daughter, Katherine, married to Wayne C. Koontz, of Bedford and their daughter Janelle married to Aaron Sams of Broken Arrow, OK.  She had one adopted son, Jerry, which she raised and loved dearly.  Doris was a member of the Christian Missionary and Alliance Church of Bedford.  If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the church at 9391 Lincoln Highway, Bedford, Pa.15522.  Friends will be received at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford friends will be received on Friday from 7-9 PM.  A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland, MD on Saturday, January 13, 2007, at 10:00 AM.  A memorial service will be planned at the church at a later date.
