Donna K. (Gilson) Anderson

Donna K. Anderson 75, of Briar Valley Road, Bedford, died Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home.  She was born on October 24, 1942 in Bedford, a daughter of the late Thomas and Jessie Marie (Wakefoose) Gilson.  On February 12, 1966 in Bedford, she married Norman J. “Mike” Anderson who survives along with four daughters: Michele Fisher and husband Rodney, of Bedford, Lisa Smith and husband Bill, of Alum Bank, Dawn Mowery and husband Rick, of Clearville, and Debra Whysong and husband Scott, of Alum Bank; six grandchildren: Caleb Fisher and wife Cassie, Brittany and Billie Smith, Darren Mowery, Chase and Justin Whysong; and a brother, Tom Gilson and wife Barb, of Carlisle.

Donna was a waitress at the Coachroom and worked for Blackburn-Russell.  She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, the Red Hats, and enjoyed bowling, singing, and baking.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Rev. Paul Claycomb and Michele Fisher officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.
