Donna J. Corle

Donna J. Corle, 72 of Hog Farm Road, Osterburg, died Thursday, December 16, 2010 at her home.  She was born March 12, 1938 in St. Clairsville, daughter of the late Bruce and Marie (Shaffer) Ickes.  On May 23, 1956 in Cumberland, MD, she married C. Ray Corle and he survives along with the following children; Chuck Corle, married to the former Sandy Suttmiller of Osterburg, Carol wife of David Hepner of Charlotte, NC, Neta Knisely of Williamsburg, VA, Kenny Corle, married to the former Karen Ickes of Osterburg, Paula wife of Matt Dawson of Buffalo Mills, Fred Corle, married to the former Kelly Hileman of Osterburg, 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and one on the way.  Also surviving are four sisters; Betty wife of Lee Ayotte of Columbus, Ohio, Neta widow of Paul Clark of Osterburg, Fay wife of Richard Dellinger of Osterburg, Kay wife of Jeff Hickey of Bedford, four brothers; Thomas Ickes and wife Rosemary of Clearfield, James Ickes and wife Donna of Osterburg, Jay Ickes and wife Judy of Schellsburg, and Will Ickes and wife Janice of Osterburg.

Mrs. Corle had worked at the Bedford County Home, at Pennknoll Village and had been a part time mail carrier.  She was a great wife, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services: Monday, December 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in St. Clairsville, with Rev. Donna Wolfinger officiating.  Burial at the Osterburg Community Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Timothy A.
