Donald P. Wagoner

Donald P. Wagoner 70 of Willow Brook Lane, Bedford, died Saturday, September 29, 2007 at his home.  He was born February 6, 1937 in Bedford County, son of the late Paul B. and Viola M. (Hengst) Wagoner.  On December 30, 1961 in Johnstown he married Carole Ritter and his death ends a marriage union of 45 years.  Along with his wife he is survived by a daughter Mary wife of Fred Heming of Schellsburg, three grandchildren: Jason, Megan and Rachel Heming and a great grandson Octavious Lewis, a sister Anna wife of Wayne Earnest of Schellsburg, numerous nieces and nephews and a special kitty “Mittens”.   He was preceded in death by a sister A. Aldine College.

Mr. Wagoner retired in 1999 after 40 years as a heavy equipment operator with International Union Local 66 Operation Engineers and prior to that was employed by Don Hershberger Painting.  He loved working on vehicles and attending farm auctions at Marion and he was also an avid NASCAR fan.

Funeral services: Tuesday, 11:00 am in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. Charles Jack officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  There will be no visitation.
