Donald E. Perdew Jr, 60 of Mercersburg Road, Mercersburg, died, Friday, November 26, 2010 at the Chambersburg Hospital. He was born August, 1, 1950 in Cumberland, MD, son of Marie Nelson Perdew of Bedford and the late Donald E. Perdew. Along with his mother, he is survived by his partner, Claudia Westman of Mercersburg, and the following sisters and brother; Nancy wife of Paul Crawford Jr., of Bedford, Debrah wife of Thomas Desmond of Alamo, CA, Ronald Perdew, married to the former Cathy Pipkin of Forrest City, Ark, Diane wife of Tony Braman of Bedford and Lisa Ann wife of Steve Fink of Osterburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Perdew owned and operated Perdew Contracting. He was a member of the Eagles, and the Greencastle Sportsmen’s Club. As a member of the Amateur Trap Shooting Association, he won the National Championship in 1994. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial services: Thursday evening, December 2, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford. Friends will be received from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service.
