Donald Feight

Donald Feight 81 of Sweet Root Road, Bedford, died Thursday, August 7, 2008 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital in Bedford.  He was born December 22, 1926 in Breezewood, son of the late Elmer and Olive (Peck) Feight.  He is survived by his life partner Bonnie Stufft and a daughter Shelba wife of Ronald Purtle of Mechanicsburg and a son Gene Feight married to Katherine MacHardy of McGaheysville, two step-daughters:Deborah Robinson and Colleen Stufft both of Bedford, four grandchildren: Benton and Charles Purtle, Hunter and Shannan Feight, two step-granddaughters: Dena Sigler and Janell Downey, and four step-great grandchildren: Keisha, Katie, Kyla Sigler and Terrence Gunby. Also surviving are three brothers: Reed Feight and wife Leta of Waterfall, Dale Feight and Romona of Effort, Arney J. Feight of Everett, two sisters: Anna May wife of Charles Leidy and Sylvia wife of Dwight Winck both of Breezewood,  He was preceded in death by two brothers: Pete Feight and Robert “Jim” Feight husband of Rachael of Breezewood, one sister Loretta Umholtz and one step-grandson Jeffrey Davidson.

Mr. Feight  retired as co-owner of Turner-Feight Motors in Bedford, prior to that had operated Don’s American in Bedford and prior to that had worked at the Ford Garage in Bedford.  He was a loving father to everyone and was always helping others.  He was an avid outdoorsman.

Memorial services: Sunday 11:00 Am in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with his nephews: Pastor Andrew Winck and Paster J. R.
