Dixie Lee (Macdonald) Dowlin

Dixie Lee Dowlin 79, of Everett, died Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home.  She was born on June 27, 1941 in Wilkinsburg, a daughter of the late Robert W. and Clara (Colangelo) MacDonald.  On March 25, 1958, in Everett, she married her husband of 50 years, Elbert Donald “Brub” Dowlin, who preceded her in death on October 26, 2007.  She is survived by three sons: Zachary Dowlin and companion Kelly Wolf, Dana Dowlin, and Quinn Dowlin and wife Sherry; four grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a sister Denise MacDonald and wife Mary, and a sister-in-law Donna MacDonald.  She was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert MacDonald Jr., and George MacDonald, and a grandson, Quinn Dowlin Jr.

Dixie worked as a seamstress at Everett Sewing Factor for 25 years and Sheetz in Everett for 7 years, before retiring.  The love of her life was her three sons, her cat Molly, and her dog Sammy.  She enjoyed music, flowers, and spending time with her family and friends.
