Diane C. Johnson, 70 of Country Ridge Road, Bedford, formerly of North Huntingdon, Pa, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home. She was born October, 2, 1939 in Wilkinsburg, daughter of the late Herbert and Nelle (Colbert) Thomas. On December 16, 1960 in Turtle Creek, she married Richard A. Johnson and he survives along with two daughters; Debra R. Johnson of Kitty Hawk, NC and Lisa L. wife of Brian Fmura of Bedford, two grandsons; Matthew and Micah Fmura, also a brother Ret. Col. David Thomas and wife Helen of Mt. Vernon, MO and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Wolfsburg United Methodist Church, and was a Pittsburgh Steeler and Penguin fan. She enjoyed her collections and loved being with her children and grandchildren.
Funeral services; Friday, June 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Pastor Vicki Jordan officiating. Entombment at Bedford County Memorial Park. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday afternoon at the funeral home.
