Delores M. Straw

Delores M. Straw, 82, of Bedford, died on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at UPMC Bedford Hospital. She was born on August 18, 1938, in Cumberland, MD, a daughter of the late Jesse Straw and Mary E. (Miller) Wagner She is survived by six cousins: Sandra Butler and husband Robert  of Everett; Roberta Arnold of Schellsburg;  Karen Smith of Bedford; and Allan Smith of Osterburg; Mae Conway of Everett; and Frank H. Miller III of Breezewood; best friend, Ann Cowan of Cessna and her children Melissa and Donald.  She was preceded in death by one cousin Elizabeth Susan Miller.

Delores was a member of the Bedford United Methodist Church. She retired from teaching after 38 years with Neshaminy School District in Bucks County. She was a member of the NEA teacher’s union, Bedford County players, Tops group, and the Bedford Lioness.  She enjoyed reading and volunteering her time at the snack bar at Bedford Hospital.
