Delmar J. Amos, 75, of Cuppett Road, New Paris, died Saturday, July 16, 2005 at Windber Medical Center. He was born on June 11, 1930 in Washington, Pa., A Son of the late Delmar and Marie (Skisinsky) Amos. On December 6, 1950 in Cumberland, MD He married Hazel Simons who survives along with the following family, six sons, Delmar J. Amos Jr. of New Paris, Tom married to the former Tammy Beegle of Waynesboro, Tim married to the former Bonnie Smith of Schellsburg, Terry Amos of Harrisburg, Mark Amos and wife Ulrike of Germany, and Zachary Amos of New Paris, Two daughters, Stephanie wife of Dan Layton, and Patricia Amos both of Bedford, 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, one sister Patricia wife of Al Gentet of Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by 1 daughter Diana Grimm.
He was affiliated with the St. Thomas Catholic Church a US. Navy Veteran, and had served a couple of years with the Honor Guard, He also enjoyed Harness racing. He worked as a welder and machinist operator for U.S. Steel, when he retired he drove truck.
Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home In Bedford.
