Della R. Clark

Della R. Clark 82, of Patio Ranch Road, Bedford, died, Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Rebecca’s Personal Care Home, in Everett.  She was born on December 31, 1931, in Friends Cove, a daughter of the late, Louis and Ella (Sollenberger) Nave.  On October 11, 1949, in Cumberland, MD, she married H. Kenneth Clark, who preceded her in death on September 9, 2004.  She is survived by the following family: son, David Clark and wife Sandra, of Morganton, NC, son, K. Rick Clark, and wife Wanda, of Bedford, daughter, Ruth and husband John Lee, of Yorktown, VA, and a son, Jesse “Jake” Clark, and wife Carol, of Bedford; seven grandchildren: Jason, Shanna, Rickey and wife Betsy, Lindsay and husband Chris, Natalie and husband Tommy, Jesse II, and Andrew; five great-grandchildren: Jasmine, Roman, Logan, Trent, and Saige; a brother, Ray Nave, and a sister, Helen Calihan, both of Bedford.  She was preceded in death by two brothers: T.D. Nave, and Harold “Hoot” Nave, and two sisters: Ethel Anderson, and Dorothy Grimes.

Mrs. Clark was a member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Bedford High School, and retired from the Bedford Area School District, after 30 years, as a cook.  The family would like to express their thanks, for the special care Della received from Rebecca’s Personal Care Home, and Southern Care Hospice.

Funeral Services will be held, Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Rev. Joseph Puleo, officiating.  Burial at Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Friday, from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.  Those wishing may make memorial contributions in Della’s memory to: Southern Care Hospice, 206-A Falon Lane, Altoona, PA 16602.   Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com
