Daniel F Diveglia of Cumberland Road, Bedford, died early Monday morning, April 20, 2009 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home. He was born September 29, 1922 in Altoona, son of the late Constantino and Angeline (Masucci) Diveglia One February 23, 1985 in Bedford he married the former Donna Ingram and she survives along with six children: Gloria Larson of Altoona, Donna wife Jim Sult of Sykesville, MD, Daniel G Diveglia of Myrtle Beach, SC, Maria Diveglia of Altoona, Paula wife of Richard Kustenbauder of Duncansville, Paul J. Diveglia of Altoona and four step-children: Zachary Zembower and wife Dotti of Boalsburg, Leah wife of Robert Rouzer of Fleming Island, FL, Mark Zembower of Venice FL and Eric Zembower and wife Jodie of Bedford. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and four great grandchildren and a brother William Diveglia of Pittsburgh, and a sister Mary Ruscio of Altoona. He was preceded in death by three brothers; Eugene, Pat and John.
Mr. Diveglia was a member of the Bedford Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon and an Elder, he also sang in the Choir. He retired after 36 years with Conrail in Altoona where he worked as a purchasing agent. During World War II he served with the Navy and then with the Coast Guard Reserves for a total of 34 years. He was a member of Bedford Lodge # 320 F. & A.M., Bedford American Legion Post #0113 and the MOAA.
Funeral services: Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. Doug Friant officiating. Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park with military rites conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard. Friends will be received on Wednesday evening from 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
