Dale E. Sigler, 88, of Egolf Road, Bedford, went to be with his wife of 61 years while surrounded by his family on, September 1, 2012 at his residence. He was born on April 26, 1924, in Bedford, a son of the late Elmer F. and Verna (Smith) Sigler. On September 15, 1945 in Media, he married Betty J. Welsh who preceded him in death on August 5, 2007. He is survived by a daughter, Linda wife of Bill Fisher of Spingfield, MO, a son, Karl Sigler married to the former Tina LeVan of Bedford, two grandchildren: Dale E. Sigler II and wife Stacey of Bedford, Amber Sigler and fiancé William Prince of Waldorf, MD, two great grandchildren: Parker Sigler and Abigail Prince. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Sigler.
Dale served in the Marine Corps and the reserves. He was affiliated with the Bedford Christian Missionary Alliance Church, and retired as the manager at the Pennsylvania Liquor Store in Bedford. He enjoyed collecting G-scale train models and railroad memorabilia. He loved to rabbit hunt and spend time with his beloved dog Spinky.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor John Bennett officiating. Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park, with full military rites conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard. Friends will be received on Wednesday, 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
