Colton W. Tew

Colton W. Tew, 16, of Teaberry Road, Bedford, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014. He was born on December 11, 1997, in Everett, a son of John M. Tew Jr. and companion Julie Gardner, of Bedford and Beth (Tichnell) Tew Shroyer and companion Mark Henry also of Bedford.  Along with his parents he is survived by paternal grandfather John M. Tew Sr., and companion Judy Koontz of Bedford, maternal grandparents Robert and Linda Tichnell of Bedford, paternal great grandmother Irene Mott of Florida; two brothers: Dalton Tew and Brian Gardner and wife Rachel all of Bedford; two sisters: Kala Gardner and companion Glenn of Manns Choice, and Amanda Ferguson and husband David of Schellsburg; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.    He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother Jean Tew.

Colton enjoyed welding, farming, riding 4 wheelers and hunting.  He spent time with his friends Wyatt, Jake and Walker and many more.  He was employed with Meadow Creek Farms.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Pastor Rick Hall officiating.  Burial at Burning Bush Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Thursday from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Centerville Fire Department, 4344 Bedford Valley Road, Bedford, PA 15522.
