Clinton A. Wilhelm

Clinton A. Wilhelm, 90, of Dark Hollow Road, Bedford, died Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home. He was born on March 31, 1923, in Bedford, a son of the late William and Anna (Daehler) Wilhelm. On April 11, 1942, in Cumberland, MD, he married Ethel E. Slonaker and she survives along with four daughters: Margaret "Peggy" Nicholas and husband Delbert of Cresaptown, MD, Betty Jane Wilson and husband John of Bedford, Sue Ellen Greise and husband Tom of Green Cove Springs, FL, Anna Beth Dumas and husband Bill of LaVale, MD; one son, David Wilhelm and wife Rose of Bedford; 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, one sister, Mary Growden and one brother, Donald Wilhelm both of Bedford.  He was preceded in death by Three great grandchildren, one brother, Carl Wilhelm, and one sister, Roslind Conway.

Clinton was a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church and worked as a manager for Sunbeam Bakery and prior to that he worked for Schmidts Baking Company.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and farming.  He was also a member of the senior citizens group in Centerville.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May, 13 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Joyce Hillegass officiating. Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received on Sunday, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.  Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
