Cleva A. Cornell, 87, of Harrison Road, Schellsburg, formerly of Rainsburg, died Thursday, June 19, 2003 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home. She was born on May 28, 1916 in Colerain TWP, a daughter of the late Frank E. and Ima (Amick) Ressler. On June 1, 1940 in Stephens City, VA, She married Blair I. Cornell who preceded her in death on November 7, 1991. She is survived by 6 children: Donald I. married to the former Gloria Hite of Everett, Shirley L. Davis of Claysburg, Roger L. married to the former Yvonne Ciucci of Chesapeake, VA, Ronald G. married to the former Kathy Wertz of Schellsburg, Carol I. wife of Thomas Croyle of Schellsburg. 6 grandchildren: Karen wife of Michael Mitch, Michael Cornell, Curtis Cornell, Sue Ann Cornell, Keith & Kevin Croyle. 6 great-grandchildren, 1 Sister, Dorothy Greenawalt of Everett, 2 Brothers, Clyde A. Ressler and wife Betty of Bedford, and Paul L. Ressler of Fishertown. She was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Cornell was a homemaker.
Funeral Services: Monday, June 23, 2003, at 11:00 AM from the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford. with the Rev. Charles Rhodes and Rev. Walter Hoard officiating. Burial in Bedford County Memorial Park. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, at the funeral home.
