Clara M. Thompson 85 of Hillsdale Drive, Duncansville, Pa. Died September 23, 2001, at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care. She was born October 9, 1915 in Philadelphia a daughter to the late William and Lillian (Mosely) MacNamara. On November 28, 1938 in Philadelphia she married Harry W. Thompson who preceded her in death on April 4, 1975.
She is survived by 1 son David Thompson married to the former Nancy Vile of Duncansville, and 2 granddaughters. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Lillian, Elizabeth, and Esther, 1 twin brother William.
Mrs. Thompson was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollidaysburg. She was a retired cafeteria worker from the Haverford School District.
Funeral Services: Saturday September 29, 2001 at 11:00 AM from the St. Marks Methodist Church 2220 South Sprool Rd., Broomall, Pa., with the Rev. John Nesbitt officiating, Burial at Northwood Cemetery. Friends will be received Thursday from 7-9 PM from the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, and a half hour prior to the service at the church in Philadelphia on Saturday.
