Christine I. (Berkstresser) Rinard

Christine I. Rinard, 93 of East John Street, Bedford, passed away March 18, 2016 at UPMC Altoona Hospital with her daughter Linda at her side.  She was born October 10, 1922 in Cairnbrook, a daughter of the late Cloyd W. and Sadie B. (Gray) Berkstresser.  On May 30, 1942 in Newport, RI, she married Robert D. Lehman who preceded her in death on February 20, 1974.  She was remarried on April 2, 1977 to Dr. Graffious Rinard who preceded her in death on March 2, 2011.  She is survived by her daughter Linda, wife of James Milliken of West Chester, two grandchildren, Susan Milliken, wife of Michael Lord, and Christine Milliken, one great-granddaughter, Elaina Lord; and three nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her sister Shirley Mae Graser.

Christine was a member of the Bedford Trinity Lutheran Church, Bedford Springs Chapter #41 Order of the Eastern Star, and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.  She retired an employer relations representative for the Pennsylvania Government.  Christine enjoyed her family, cooking, camping, and taking rides in the country with her dog Bridget, who she loved very much.

Funeral services will be held private at the Timothy A.
