Cecil E. Kidd

Cecil E. Kidd, 93, of Bedford, died Monday, December 10, 2012 at Homewood at Martinsburg. He was born on November 25, 1919, the son of the late William V. and Linnie Mae (Naugle) Kidd. He was formerly married to Helen E. (Amick) Kidd. He is survived by two daughters, Sharon wife of Daniel Hite of Bedford, and McKenzie Kidd and husband Ryan Wade of Huntingdon, four grandchildren: Eric Kidd married to the former Christy Vensel, John Fix married to the former Tonya Littlefield, Victoria wife of Mike Foor, and Paul Hite, a daughter–in-law Madelyn married to Terry Fix all of Bedford, four great-grandchildren: Brittany and Jeffrey Kidd, Misti Lehman, and Eli Foor, one great-great-grandson Kamden Lehman. He was preceded in death by a son, Victor E. Kidd,  two sisters, Mary Filler and Anna Dean Barthalow, two brothers, Samuel Newton Kidd and Richard Kidd, and two infant brothers.

Cecil was a member of the St. Marks Lutheran Church, and was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the Pacific Theatre.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Beth Pyles officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park, with full military rites conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.  Friends will be received Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at funeral home.    Those wishing can make donations in Cecil’s memory to Homewood at Martinsburg, 430 S.
