Catherine L. Gates

Catherine L. Gates, 83, of Fairlane Drive Bedford, died Friday June 29, 2007 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home.  She was born on December 23, 1923 in Bedford, a daughter of the late David L. and Ada Margaret (Dunkle) Price. She was married to Blair Gates and he preceded her in death on November 13, 1978. She is survived by the following family, a son, Larry Gates and companion Kim Dunkle Hillegass of Bedford two daughters, Cheryl widow of Jerry Bussard of Everett and Judy wife of Wayne Allen of Alum Bank, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two sisters Ellen widow of Gilbert Hahn, Dorothy Jean widow of Robert Weyant, one brother Bernard married to the former Roxy Barnes.  She was preceded in death by a grandson Jimmy Howsare, a niece:  Donna Leo, three brothers:  Donald, Frederick, and Earl Price, and an infant brother  Kenneth.

Funeral Services: Tuesday, 11:00 am in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, with Rev. Daniel Diehl officiating.  Burial in Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
