Catherine D. Colvin

Catherine D. Colvin, 91, of Westmoreland Ave., Bedford, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at her residence.  She was born on October 13, 1919, in Bedford, a daughter, of the late Edwin A. and Helene (Claar) Davidson.  In 1937, she married Charles F. Colvin and he preceded her in death on November 7, 1982.  She is survived by a daughter, Judy widow of Donald E. Sigler of Bedford, five grandchildren: Stephen Sigler and wife Janice of Harrisburg, Michael Sigler of Palm Harbor, FL,  Jim  Sigler of Bedford,  David Sigler of Annandale, VA, Susan Sigler of Bristow, VA, and five great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by three brothers:  Ted, Tom, and Sam Davidson, and one sister Jane Russell.

She was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church and also a member of the former Catholic Daughters.   In her early years she was associated with the Davidson News in downtown Bedford.  She retired as a secretary for D.C.N.R. State Parks Regional Office # 3 that was located at Shawnee State Park.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford with Father Donald Dusza Celebrant.  Burial at St.Thomas Catholic Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Saturday 1 hour prior to the service at the Timothy A.
