Carolyn Schwirian

Carolyn “June” Schwirian, 63, of Bowser Road, Osterburg, died Sunday, April 19, 2015, at her residence.  She was born on June 27, 1951, in Shaw, WV, a daughter of the late Elliott and Miriam (Stullenbarger) Waybright.  On November 7, 1969, in Osterburg, she married Ken A. Schwirian who survives along with the following family: two daughters: Kelly R. Miller wife of Scott of Schellsburg, Michelle L. Markel wife of Andrew, of Newburg; a son, Scott A. Schwirian, of Canada, granddaughter, Devyn Schwirian, at home; seven grandchildren: Allison, Brooke and Andrew Miller, Marissa, Madison, and Megan Gardenhour, and Elizabeth Markel; a sister Dee A. Waybright, of Osterburg; three brothers: Gene Waybright, and wife Karen, James Waybright, and wife Nicole, and Kenneth Waybright, all of Osterburg.

June worked as a secretary at the former Don Rice Ford, and volunteered at the Bedford Hospital, and with the Fishertown Boy Scouts Troop 175.  She loved being a mom, grandma, and taking care of her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Donna Wolfinger, officiating.  Burial at Osterburg Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com
