Carle E. Huntsman

Carle Elizabeth Huntsman, 85, of Graystone Court, Bedford, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. She was born on November 30, 1928, in Buffalo Mills, a daughter of the late Carl and Grace (Stouffer) Garland. On April 10, 1946, in Cumberland, MD, she married Kenneth Huntsman Sr. who preceded her in death on November 7, 1991 She is  survived by a son: Kenneth Huntsman Jr. of Bedford, two brothers;  Samuel Garland married to the former Annette Palmer of Buffalo Mills, and  Robert Garland of Bedford.   She was preceded in death by a brother, William Garland.

Carle was a member of the Pennwood Bible Church.  She worked at Lion Manufacturing Company in Everett and then as an LPN at Sacred Heart Hospital in Cumberland.  She was a gentle and loving mother, thoughtful and caring friend, a loving Christian, faithful to her church, and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Floyd Rinehart officiating.  Burial at Milligans Cove Christian Church Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Friday, from 6 – 8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.   Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
