Carl Kimble

May 14, 1937 — April 21, 2008

Carl “Ed” Kimble, 70 of Cumberland Valley was called home to be with the Lord, Monday, April 21, 2008 at Passavant Hospital in Pittsburgh Pa. after a battle with cancer.

He was born May 14, 1937 in Cumberland Maryland, son of the late Volta Kimble and Lucretia Cornell.

He is survived by his loving wife Dusty Kimble, married December 24, 1958.

Also his son Don Kimble and wife Jan of Holland Michigan, daughter Tammy Bolinger and husband Kevin of Bedford, Pa. He is also survived by grandchildren Daniel and Lauren Kimble and Terry and William Bolinger.

He attended Liberty Bible Church of Bedford Pennsylvania where he was a charter member.

He served his country as a Gunners Mate 3rd class in the United States Navy aboard the USS Macon from 1955 until he was honorably discharged in 1958.

He owned and operated Kimble’s Meats and Kimble’s Meats and Concessions with his family for 40 years until his retirement in 2004. He spent his retirement starting a new business, Personaliz-it.

He loved planting flowers, photography and working outside. He will be missed by family and friends         but all can be assured he is in the arms of the Lord.

.         Funeral services: Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Pastor Stewart McClelland and Pastor David Greenwood officiating. Burial at Bortz Cemetery.  Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.  Our online guest book is available at
