Carl J. “Joey” Kauffman Jr., 30 of Almond Lane, Alum Bank, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010 as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was born July 14, 1979 in Bedford, son of Carl J. and Cindy (Bowers) Kauffman of Bedford. Along with his parents he is survived by a brother Jamie Ryan Kauffman of Bedford, a niece Alexandra Ray Ritchey, his girlfriend Shannon Martin and her daughter Emily, Paternal grandparents; Shirley R. Wentz of Bedford and Gerald Callihan of Cleveland, Ohio, and numerous Aunts and Uncles.
Joey worked for Howard Robson Construction, and prior to that worked for H. B. Mellott Construction. He was a member of Bedford Moose Lodge #480. He enjoyed being with his niece Alexandra, and loved water sports and motorcycle riding. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral Services: Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. Daniel Oldham Officiating. Burial at Imler Valley Cemtery.
