Carl D. Beegle, 66, of East Penn Street Bedford, died Thursday, June 30, 2005 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital, after a lengthly illness. He was born on May 17, 1939 in Bedford, A son of Virginia (Carl) Beegle of Bedford, and the late Dale Beegle. On June 22, 1958 in Cumberland, MD, He married Margaret Joan Feathers, who survives along with the following family, Four Daughters: Terri L. Beegle of Greencastle, Brenda L. wife of William Mowry, Lisa G. wife of Brian Seifert, Carla D. wife of Jeffrey Price, all of Bedford, Two sons Barry E. Beegle of Bedford, and Scott A. Beegle married to the former Dana Markley of Central City, 15 grandchildren: Christina, Justin, Rusty, Brett, Matt, Brittany, David, Adam, Lindsay, Zach, Alex, Lauren, Ryan, & Trenton, One expected grandson Jacob, four great grandchildren: Donovan, Darian, Kendall, and Landon. Two sisters: Nancy wife of Bernard Rock, and Sally Beegle, Two brothers: Robert Beegle married to the former Patricia Calhoun and Randy Beegle married to the former Sharon Stiffler all of Bedford. He was preceded in death by one infant great grandaughter Madison.
He was a graduate of Bedford High School Class of 1957, He owned and operated Jay Blackburn and Sons Hardware Store, prior to that he worked for Bedford Improved TV and Howard Johnson.
Funeral Services: Saturday, July 2, 2005, at 11:00 AM from the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with the Rev. Dr. M. Edgar Datesman officiating. Burial in Fishertown Cemetery. Friends will be received on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM, at the funeral home.
