Calvin E. Amick, 77, of Bedford, died on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at his residence. He was born on May 30, 1947 in Bedford, a son of the late Calvin E. and Thelma M. (Hite) Amick. On June 24, 1967 in Bedford, he married Annalouise (Beegle) Amick who survives along with the following family: a son, David B. Amick and wife Tammy of New Paris; a daughter, Danielle M. Cosner and husband Gabe of Bedford; six grandchildren: Matt L. Amick and wife Angela, Corey E. Amick and fiancé Rachel, Katlyn Smith and husband Matthew, Kody Tew, Charity Cosner and partner Tyler, and Nova Cosner; six great-grandchildren: Jaxson, Nash, Layla, Rylee, Mackenzie, and Parker; one sister, Janet widow of Gary Tritsch of North Miami Beach, FL; and one brother, Steven D. Amick and wife Deb of Duncansville.
Calvin graduated from Bedford High School in 1965 and then attended a trade school. He joined the U.S. Army and after the Army, he worked at Hedstrom for 35 years until its closing. He then worked at Bedford Plastics and retired from there in 2015. In his younger years Calvin enjoyed coaching baseball and umpiring. He was an avid bowler and spent time on the CB and Ham radio’s.
