C. Gordon Allison

C. Gordon Allison 93 of Central Way, Bedford died Sunday January 6, 2007 at the Altoona Hospital.  He was born November 15, 1914 in Rochester, NY, son of the late Charles E. and Jean Ines (Collins) Allison.  On March 4, 1939 in Los Angeles, CA he married Helen Lorraine Greer and she preceded him in death on February 15, 1991.  He is survived by one daughter Jean Allison Clark of Bedford, four grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by a brother Darwin Allison.

Mr. Allison was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church where he was very active in editing missle manuels.  He taught Bible Study at Rebecca’s Personal Care Center and  until recently led the singing at the Senior Center on Thursdays.

Graveside services: Wednesday January 9, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Upper Claar Cemetery with Rev. Dan Swankler officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford.  Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
