Brendan T. Winter

Brendan T. Winter, 85, of Bedford, died Friday, April 1, 2022 at Guardian Healthcare in Altoona.  He was born on October 2, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY a son of the late Charles and Anna (McGriskin) Winter.  On May 14, 1972 in Queens, NY he married Corrinna M. (Ibarra) Winter who survives of Bedford.  He was preceded in death by one brother Robert Winter.

Brendan worked for the NYPD Organized Crime Unit for 27 years until his retirement.  He was a member of the Bedford American Legion Post #113, the Bedford Elks Lodge #1707, the Bedford County Sportsman’s Club, and the NRA.  He enjoyed playing golf and target shooting.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford.  In lieu of flowers those wishing may make donations in Brendan’s name to the Bedford County Humane Society, 182 Bohn Road, Bedford, PA 15522.
