Brenda L. Benton Valet

Brenda Lee Benton Valet, 52, lost a long battle with cancer on July 23, 2012. She was a 1977 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School. After high school she served 10 years in the U.S. Navy before completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene at Old Dominion University. She is survived by her husband, Marc E Valet, of Mebane, NC, her daughter Nicole L. Clark, son Marc E Valet II, mother Dolores E Benton of Bedford, sister Carol A Harr, brothers Jay A. Benton, and Brian K. Benton. She was preceded in death by her father Jay A. Benton.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford. Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer society.
