Brandyn J. Hammond, 40, of Judy Road, Bedford, died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 2, 1971 in Everett, a son, of John R. and Peggy L. (Foster) Hammond who survive of Bedford. On October 25, 1996 in Cumberland, MD, he married Dawn L. Snavely, and she survives along with three daughters, Alayna N., Alexis M., and Abigail C. Hammond all at home. Also surviving is a sister, Beth, wife of Frank Schneider of New Cumberland, Paternal grandparents, Richard and Pearl Hammond of Bedford, and four nieces and nephews; Olivia and Rylan Schneider and Hope and Haydyn Snavely.
He was a member of Bedford Trinity Lutheran Church, and was the General Manager of Staples in Altoona. He was the coach for his daughter’s Soccer team and led them to a championship in February. Brandyn was an avid hunter and fisherman and a Steeler and NASCAR fan. He enjoyed working in his yard, doing home improvements and was a dedicated husband and father.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, with Rev. Howard R. Sloan officiating. Burial at Bedford Cemetery. Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
