Bonnie K. (Tew) Uzak

Bonnie K. Uzak 72, of Bedford, died Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  She was born on June 10, 1948 in Bedford, a daughter of the late William Earl and Emma Mae (DeShong) Tew.  She was married to John Edward “Bud” Uzak who preceded her in death.  She is survived by her soulmate Jack Holland and three sisters: Ida Marie Gurtnmayer and husband Joseph, of Tennessee, Harvey A. Tew and wife Jane, of Everett, and Gertrude “Greta” Didonato, of Philadelphia; and the following nieces and nephews: James Whisner, Deborah (Whisner) Drenning, Brenda Nichols, Mark Tew, Michael Tew, Gary Monnett, Frank Moran, Beth Ann Folchetti, and Michelle Moran. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Mae Tew, and Connie Whisner; and a niece, Lucinda McDaniels.

Bonnie was a waitress for many years at the former Bedford Springs Hotel, Hillcrest Restaurant, and the Arena Restaurant.
