Billy L. Tew

Billy L. Tew 71, of Bedford, died Monday, January 6, 2020 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home.  He was born on March 31, 1948 in Bedford, a son of the late Ted and Bertha (Bowser) Tew.  He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: John Tew and companion Judy Koontz, of Bedford, Helen Calhoun and husband Gary, of Bedford, Nelda Myers and husband Marlon, of New Paris, and Linda Fletcher and husband Dan of Bedford; a sister-in-law Pearl Tew of Vandergrift, and a brother-in-law Jim Weiler of Bedford;   numerous nieces and nephews, and a best friend Gary Stufft and wife Gail, of New Paris.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Tew, and a sister Joyce Weiler.

Billy was a 1970 graduate of Bedford High School.  He was a John Deere enthusiast and enjoyed being at Gary Stufft’s garage.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford with Pastor Dan Oldham officiating.  Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  Friends will be received on Thursday, from 5-8 p.m., at the funeral home.  The online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
