Betty A. Price, 81 of Bedford, passed away March 13, 2016 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. She was born on December 6, 1934, in Cumberland Valley Township, a daughter of the late John W. and Grace (Miller) Simons. On June 14, 1957 in Winchester, VA, she married Samuel G. Price who preceded her in death on April 19, 2008. She is survived by a daughter Sue Ann wife of Ron Hocker, of Bedford, a grandson Lane Hocker, of Bedford, and two sisters, Donna Beegle, of Bedford, and Hazel Amos, of Schellsburg. She was preceded in death by an infant son, and three brothers: John, William, and Walter Simons.
Betty was affiliated with Pleasant Hill Bible Church, and was a graduate of Bedford High School. She loved spending time with her grandson Lane, who was her pride and joy. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 12:00 p.m., at the Pleasant Hill Bible Church, with Rev. Sean McGill, officiating. Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford. Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com
