Betty J. Grimes

Betty Jane Grimes, 82, of Egolf Road, Bedford, died Friday, March 9, 2012, at her residence.  She was born on July 8, 1929, in Everett a daughter, of the late Thomas C and Naomi Ruth (Edwards) Chamberlain.  On January 18, 1948, she married Richard O. Grimes and he survives along with a daughter, Cynthia wife of James Robinette, a son, Richard Grimes Jr. married to the former Janet Kegg, three grandchildren: James, Thomas, and Scott Robinette, all of Bedford, two brothers, Carl Chamberlain and wife Susie of Mifflinburg, James Chamberlain and wife Elaine of Bedford, and one sister Shirley wife of Michael Kendall also of Bedford; and eight great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two granddaughters, and one sister Joyce Chamberlain.

She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford and retired from the Colerain Elementary School as a cafeteria worker.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 12, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford with the Father Donald Dusza Celebrant.  Burial at Woods Church Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Timothy A.
