Betty J. Funkhouser, 92 of Donahoe Manor, Bedford, died Friday, April 23, 2010 at the home. She was born May 4, 1917 in Bedford County, daughter of the late Herbert R. and Olive E. (Gilchrist) McMullen. She was married to Clyde Funkhouser, and he preceded her in death. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by 15 brothers and sisters.
She was a member of the Bedford Presbyterian Church, and had worked as a caregiver. Prior to that she had worked as a clerk in a drug store in Winchester, VA, where she spent most of her adult life.
Funeral Services: Monday, April 26, 2010 at 12:00 noon, in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, with Rev. Troy Gearhart officiating. Burial at Fellowship Cemetery in Centerville.
