Betty Z. Bittinger 72 of E. Penn St. Bedford, died Wednesday May 17, 2000 at her home. She was born September 4, 1927 in Mountain Lake Park, Maryland, daughter of the late Adolphus and Maude (Hudkins) Bailey. On June 20, 1946 in Mountain Lake Park, MD
she married Carlton J. Bittinger and he preceded her in death on November 8, 1984. She is survived by 2 sons: Wayne Bittinger of Bethesda , MD and Warren Bittinger married to the former Faye Ferguson of New Buena Vista,. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and one sister Oma Farrell of Loch Lynn Heights, MD.
Mrs. Bittinger was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Bedford.
Funeral Services: Saturday 11:00 A.M. from the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with the Rev Charles Rhodes officiating.. Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park. Friends will be received on Friday evening from 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
