Beatrice E. Spahr, 90, of, Eichler Road, Fishertown, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown. She was born on July 30, 1922, in Ogletown, a daughter of the late Percy E. and Emma C. (Seese) Rogers. She was preceded in death by her first husband Richard Boyer in 1976 her second husband Chester Brown in 1981 and her third husband Sylvester Spahr in 1998. She is survived by a son Stanford Boyer and wife Lynda of Osterburg, a son Thomas Brown and wife Stella of Bedford, a daughter Virginia Lockard and husband Wilbur of Imler, a daughter Nancy wife of James Hann of Fishertown, a step-son Victor Spar of Maryland, 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and one sister, Emma J. Buchkovich of Windber. She was preceded in death by daughter, Connie Brown, a son, John Brown, four brothers, Nelson Helsel, Noah Rogers, Ralph Rogers, and Percy Rogers, three sisters, Lorraine Diehl, Edna Harr, and Virginia McClucas.
Beatrice was a member Windber Church of God and worked as a waitress and cook at the Roll Arena and Jack’s Diner. She enjoyed her family, gospel music and singing along with Myers Family Show on Sundays.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. Rick Smith officiating burial at St. Marks Church Cemetery in King. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
