Barry E. Shippey

Barry E. Shippey, 50 of Business Route 220, Bedford, died Thursday, January 24, 2013 at his residence. He was born January 10, 1963 in Cumberland, MD, son of Clyde W. and Doris V. (Arnold) Shippey. On May 24, 1986, in Ellerslie, MD he married Sandra K. Sager and she survives along with two sons; Brett A. Shippey of Martinsburg, WV and Marcus A. Shippey at home, two half brothers; Clyde Shippey and wife Kamala, James Shippey and wife Dawn and a half sister Tammy Shippey all of Schellsburg, and a special niece and nephew Lindsay and Luke Campbell.
Mr. Shippey was a member of Tulls Hill Bible Church and worked as a custodian at Bedford Middle School. He was a coach for many years with Parks and Recreation, and enjoyed spending time with his two sons and their many sporting activities. He was a devoted husband and father who will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 11:00 in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Campbell officiating. Burial at Madley Cemetery, Buffalo Mills. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
