Barry Lynn Foor, 59, of Horizon Heights, Bedford, went to be with the Lord Monday, October 12, 2015, at his residence. He was born on January 5, 1956, in Bedford, a son of the late Marl D. and Pauline L. (Holler) Foor. On June 12, 1982, in Bedford, he married Linda L. (Pontius) Foor, who survives along with a daughter Jessica Lynn, wife of Nathan George, of Latrobe, and Zachary Michael Foor, of Bedford; two sisters: Donna L. Buterbaugh, widow of Richard, of Bedford, and Mary Ann wife of J.R. Keifer, of Everett; three nephews: Jason Buterbaugh and wife Amy of Bedford, Jeremy Buterbaugh, of Bedford, and Garrett Keifer, of Everett; and a great-nephew, Alexander.
Barry graduated from Bedford High School in 1973, where he was a part of the band, basketball and baseball team. He then graduated in 1977 with a Business Management Degree from IUP. After graduation, he went to work briefly for Hartley Bank and has been employed by Thomas Chevrolet in almost every aspect of the business for over 35 years. Barry was a member of the Bedford United Methodist Church, Bedford Elks Lodge #1707, and the Daniel Boone Hunting Camp. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, restoring classic cars, and NASCAR. He was a sports enthusiast who liked to be physically fit and had always enjoyed watching his children’s sporting events. Barry had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone because he could fix anything, especially vehicles in his garage. He will always be remembered for his integrity, strong faith, and hard work. He will be loved and greatly missed by his wife, family, friends, and all who knew him.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Bedford Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Jeff Welsch officiating. Burial will be Private. Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 4-8 p.m., at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, and one hour prior to the service at the Church on Thursday.
