Barry D. Clark Sr., 53, of East Watson Street, Bedford, died, unexpectedly at home on Friday, December 21, 2012. He was born on July 21, 1959, the son of Frank D. and Nancy (Smeak) Clark of Bedford. On November 3, 2007, in Bedford, he married Darlene M. Hockenberry, who survives along with the following family: a son, Barry D. Clark Jr, and wife Miranda of Bedford, a daughter, Angela R. Clark of Everett, three step-daughters: Peg Dibert and husband Brad, Deana Yokum, Carrie Frederick and husband Adam all of Bedford; a special granddaughter, Kaitlynn Clark, whom he and his wife raised as their own; six grandchildren: Autumn, Jordan, Noah, Ethan, Isabelle, & Eli; a sister, Teena Brown and husband Gary of MI, maternal grandmother Virginia "Ginger" Whitney of Everett; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ralph Whitney, and paternal grandparents, John and Ruth Clark.
Barry was a graduate of Everett Area High School, Class of 1977, and had a Degree in Drafting. He was a member of the Real Life Church, Sons of the Bedford American Legion Post # 113, Social Member of Fort Bedford VFW Post #7527, and held records for competition bench pressing in New Castle, PA at 704 lbs, and Cumberland, MD at 650 lbs. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 24, 2012, at 1:00 p.m., at the Real Life Church, in Bedford, with Pastor Brian M. Swain and Pastor Jay Saxe officiating. Friends will be received on Monday at 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church. Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.
