Barbara England Mock, 71, of Chambersburg, formerly of Bedford, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at her residence. She was born on January 2, 1939, in Bedford County, daughter of late John H. and Carrie L. England who survives of Stow, Ohio. On August 27, 1960, in Bedford, she married Joseph P. Mock, and he survives, along with two daughters, Christine, wife of Charles Stream, and Jennifer, wife of Edward Koontz, and three grandchildren. Barbara is also survived by her mother, Carrie LaVerne England, and her brother, John R. England, his wife, Agnes, one niece, and one nephew.
She was a graduate of the Bedford High School Class of 1956 and Juniata College, Class of 1960. She served as an elementary school teacher in the Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. suburban areas. Barbara was a member of Solomon's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chambersburg, and she was most devoted to her family and to her church. Barbara was a volunteer for organizations including Girl Scouts of America, Literacy Council of Franklin County, Easter Seals, and The National Lutheran Home. Her thoughtfulness and dedication will be truly missed.
Funeral Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Salvation Army or Solomon's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4856 Wayne Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Arrangements by Timothy A.
