Arlen W. Martin

Arlen W. Martin, 54, of Main Road, Bedford, died Saturday, November 23, 2013 as a result of a farming accident. He was born on December 10, 1958, in Hagerstown, MD, a son of Henry I. and Iva (Eshleman) Martin, of Hagerstown, MD.  On May 18, 1979, in Hagerstown, MD, he married Ruby E. (Strite) Martin, who survives along with the following family: five daughters: Marilyn A. Martin and husband Kent of Washington; Bonita J. Eby and husband David of Greencastle; Evalinda J. Strite, and husband Joël of Smithsburg, MD; Darletta E. and Charlotte E. Martin, both at home: seven grandchildren; two brothers, Glenn R. Martin and wife Rachel of Chambersburg, Dale L. Martin and wife Rebecca of Hagerstown, MD; two sisters, Linda M.  wife of  Donald Eby, of Clearville; and, Hilda J. wife of V. Ivan Lehman Jr., of Bedford.

He was preceded in death by a son, Laray, and a brother Lauren.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013, at 9:30 a.m., at the Woodbury Mennonite Church, with the Woodbury Ministry Officiating.  Burial will be at the Friends Cove Mennonite Church Cemetery.  Friends will be received at the Friends Cove Mennonite Church on Thursday, November 28, 2013, from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m.  The family requests the omission of flowers.
