Annie Laurie Ray 90 of Donahoe Manor Nursing Home, died Tuesday May 14, 2002 at the home. She was born May 18, 1910 in Hot Springs, Va. A daughter to the late Charles W. and Tessie (Fair) Smith Clark. On May 2, 1936 in Elkton, Md she married William Arthur Ray. Who preceded her in death on May 9, 1956. She is survived by a son John A. married to the former Gwendolyn Greer of Alum Bank. 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter Williette Ann Compton, 2 grandaughters Rhonda L. and Holly C. Ray and 2 brothers Rembert and Woodrow Smith.
Mrs. Ray was of the catholic faith a former nurse and housewife.
Funeral services Saturday at 11:00 AM from the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, with the Father John C. Vago officiating Burial at Woods Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
