Annette M. (Smyers) Tew

Annette M. Tew, 81 of Bedford, died on Monday, December 21, 2020 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  She was born on March 13, 1939 in Everett, a daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Nearhood) Smyers.  She was preceded in death by two husbands William Hillegass and Kenneth R. Tew.  She is survived by a son, William Michael Hillegass of Alum Bank; two grandchildren: William Franklin Hillegass and Kristen Marie Hillegass; two sisters: Sandra Zimmerman, of Hopewell, and Mary Ann Dodson, of New Enterprise; and a one brother William Smyers Jr., of Louisburg, NC.  She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis E. Hillegass, and a sister Patricia Reighard.

Annette was a 1957 graduate of Robert P. Smith High School, and worked at the Cove Shoe Factory, Bedford Springs Hotel, and Falkland Farms.  She was a member of the Christian Missionary and Alliance Church, and enjoyed baking and cooking.
