Anna M. Edwards, 88, of Friendship Village, Bedford, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 5, 1925, in Johnstown, a daughter of the late Harvey and Anna (Miller) Wentz. On July 10, 1947, in Cumberland. MD, she married Robert C. Edwards and he preceded her in death on December 8, 1988. She is survived by two daughters: Patty wife of Craig Cone, of Baltimore, MD, Gale Edelblute of Norfolk, VA; two sons, Barry Edwards of Middletown, NY, and Donald Edwards married to the former Jerri Townsand of Elizabeth City, NC; seven grandchildren; Jennifer, Sean, Heidi, Adam, Amy, Sarah, and Heather, seven great grandchildren: Chelsea, Courtney, Caitlyn, Ryan, Joeseph, Gaige, and Lane, one sister Kathy wife of Kelly Parker of FL. She was preceded in death by five brothers: Walter, Harvey, Herbert, and Charles and Edward Wentz and one sister Sarah Boothby.
Anna retired after 22 years, with the Rockland County School District, as a kitchen supervisor. She enjoyed spending time at the social club at Friendship Village.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Beth Pyle officiating. Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park. Friends will be received on Thursday, from 6-8 p.m., and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.
