Anna E. Difabio

Anna Elaine DiFabio, 91, of Bedford, died Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home.  She was born on April 28, 1918, in Bedford, a daughter, of the late Simon and Anna (Hann) Smith.  She was married to Fulvio “Frank” DiFabio and he preceded her in death on December 12, 1985.  She is survived by one son, John M. DiFabio of Bedford, two daughters, Maddalena M. DiFabio of Bedford, and Luisa wife of Gary Young of Schellsburg, six grandchildren:  Lisa wife of Steve Hocker, Heather wife of Scott Berkhous, Megan, Tylor, Morgan and Tanner Young. Four great  grandchildren:  Olivia, Alyssa, Addison Hocker and Gabriella Berkhous.  She was preceded in death by one son Larry, four brothers:  Elderd, Wilmont, Kenny and Willard Smith, and one sister Margaret "Peg" Allen.

She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  She worked as a housekeeper for different local families, and also spent time working with the Green Thumb Program taking care of children.  She was loved by her children, and grandchildren and will be remembered for her contagious laugh and her sparkling blue eyes.

Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 7408 Main Road, Bedford, Pa 15522.
